“Attack of the Mammoth” from the Native American Kaska first Nation: Whenever someone tells you something you should believe it until you personally know that it’s true with hard fact. In this folktale a woman warns her village about a man eating mammoth that is coming to eat her village and nobody believes her. The mammoth attacks the village and rips everyone to shreds and the only person to escape was the woman. She then goes to another village that she tells and they believe her. This time when the mammoth attacks a man shoots the mammoth with a magic arrow and the mammoth dies! The woman marries a new man and they live happily ever after. I think that people would really benefit when they learn this lesson because when someone tells you something you should believe it until it is proven false by hard fact.
